After 30+ years in Matchmaking Biz, Yep, over 35,000 dates-I have heard some of the first date questions …. from intelligent people.
Some are out of job interviews directly; Other people rakes frustration. Want the second date? Avoid them:
1. Wrong: What are you emotional about?
Better: So, what do you do for fun?
🚨 “passion” is used – this is not an interview.
2. Wrong: What are your main values?
Better: Really something else.
🚨 No essay wants to write mid-cockel.
3. Wrong: How long do you date before uniqueness?
🚨 My client Lara used it in minutes 10 and never saw the second date.
4. Wrong: Do you date many people at a time?
🚨 You have no business (yet).
5. Good!: Are you more of a texter or a collar?
✅ Finally, a common question.
6. Wrong: Where do you see yourself in five years?
Better: Thinking of getting hot elsewhere in Boston?
🚨 Low job interview, more natural conveo.
7. Wrong: What achievement are you proud of the most?
🚨 Are you hiring them?
8. Wrong: What do you need to feel supported?
Better: So … are you in therapy? (Joke. Like.)
9. Wrong: Are you working on improvement?
Better: Oh, is it one of those “weaknesses that really have a strength” question?
🔟 wrong: How did your family impress you?
Better: Are you brother -in -law?
✅ You will learn more without therapy-satisfaction vibes.
